Beavery Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 26, 2026.
Your photos, videos and Live Photos are processed on your device. Converting, cropping and exporting all happen on your iPhone, iPad or Mac, and your media files are not uploaded to our servers. This policy covers the Beavery app on iOS, iPadOS and macOS.

What Beavery reads
Beavery reads only the photos, videos and Live Photos you choose. To reopen an original next time, it saves a system security bookmark (for files) or a Photos asset identifier, not a copy of the file. When an item cannot be referenced again later, for example when Photos access is declined, Beavery keeps the copy it needs in its own storage on your device. If an original is moved or deleted, its project shows that the original is missing and lets you locate it again. Your choices on the editing screen — time range, cover, format, sound and export settings — are saved in Beavery's own project files on your device.
Photos access
Choosing items with the system picker does not require Photos access. When you save to Photos, the system asks for access. Beavery uses it to save your results and to locate the originals again later. If you decline, you can still export to Files or through the system share sheet.
Capture information
By default, exports keep the capture date, location and camera settings that the target format can hold. When exporting, you can keep, remove or replace the location, use the export time instead of the capture date, or remove camera settings. "Show as Newest in Photos" changes only the date Photos uses to sort the item; the file itself is not changed. This information is written only into the files you export.
Share extension
When you share items into Beavery from another app, the share extension hands them to the main app through an App Group shared by Beavery and its extension.
Network and third-party services
This section lists the features in the app that need a network connection: what each one sends, to whom, and whether you can turn it off. Your media files are never among them. This version: no items to list. When a networked feature is added — for example in-app purchases, sync or usage analytics — this section is updated together with the effective date.
System APIs we declare
Beavery declares these Apple required-reason APIs in its privacy manifest. UserDefaults: settings such as the sound preference for new results (CA92.1). App Group UserDefaults: share extension hand-off records (1C8F.1). File timestamps: Beavery's own caches, delivery records and temporary folders (C617.1). File timestamps: versions of source files you granted access to, and attributes of output files (3B52.1).
Diagnostics
When an export fails, the bottom of the failure screen offers "Copy Diagnostics". The copied text contains the app version, device model and system version; the source type, dimensions, duration, frame rate, codec, color information and file size; and, for each failed result, its format, time range and error code chain. It contains no picture, file names or location. Beavery only copies it to your clipboard; you decide whether to send it to us.
This website
This website is separate from the app. For the analytics used on this website, see the SaveTimeForFun Privacy Policy.
Children
Beavery is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we update the effective date at the top of this page and mention the change in the app's release notes.
